How Find My Pet Nano Works
Find My Pet Nano is a GPS tracker for dogs and cats that comes in the form of a tracking unit attached to your pet’s collar. It employs GPS to track your pet in the outdoors and it is Bluetooth and WiFi enabled in order to allow you to track your pet indoors. The device communicates location information to the app on your smartphone and the information can also be accessed via any web browser on any device with Internet access.
The device allows you to define safe zones within which your pet does not need to be actively tracked. Once your pet steps outside the defined safe zone, you receive an instant alert and you can start tracking via the dedicated app or web browser by following the handy map. You can decide how frequently you want your pet’s location information to be updated, with the minimum interval being 60 seconds.
You can also activate live tracking by pushing the SOS button on the device and holding it for at least 3-4 seconds. Once you push the button, an SOS alert will be sent to all emails and phones connected to your Find My Pet Nano account, providing the exact location of your pet.
Find My Pet Nano Design
Find My Pet Nano is small, round, and features lively shades of blue and white. It measures just 1.4 inches in diameter and weighs only 0.7 ounces.
The tracking unit can be attached to your pet’s collar using the plastic clasp-like collar attachment. Bottom Line

My only fear was due to the fact that I’m useless with any tech devices and I won’t be able to find my way around this thing so it will just be money wasted. However this app is so easy to use like I’m following some navigation app I used before. You can adjust everything in settings according to your dog’s unique characteristics. You can see his past movements and you can add your family and friends information in case your dog gets lost and you don’t see the alarm. The notifications about him being out of the safe zone will reach everyone you put in as alert recipients and someone will be able to track you down. It is like a parent tree but for your pets 🙂
Even though this tracker doesn’t provide any kind of activity tracking it has lots of features that are very useful and that you should look for when buying a pet tracker. For example if your dog or cat leave the safe zone you get notifications around the clock which means 24/7, the alerts are instant and the location of your pet gets constantly updated every few seconds but you can set it up in the range of 1 minute to two hours. The safe zone is defined by you in the app by stretching the borders you see on the app. Or you can change the location completely once you decide to create another safe zone somewhere else.
I think that the price is fine for the device but what I don’t understand is why is there only a 3 year subscription plan and not for just a year or two years. Three years is a bit much and the next available option is only a monthly subscription. What if I decide to switch to another tracker if this one doesn’t suit me anymore? I mean it’s not likely that will happen since I really do like what it offers but I would still like to have the option but with 3 year subscription it would just be money wasted.
I love the fact that is so small and light and my cat doesn’t seem to mind wearing it at all times. We used to have trouble in the past when she was constantly trying to take everything off and somehow she always managed to pull it off but now she ok with it. We have been using the tracker for three months now and we are really pleased especially that it is waterproof so it means our cat can go outside even if it rains and the tracker will still function normally.
It simply works. My beagle often goes into the bushes, likes to chase cats, and hides in the garage, so I like that FMPN works both indoors and outdoors, it makes a great difference, I’ve tried 2 others that didn’t work indoors, it was really stressful. It’s not perfect, but I’m giving it 5 stars because it does what it’s supposed to do and that wasn’t the case with all trackers I’ve tried.
If you are looking for a perfectly average tracker, this is the one. It has no extra features, slow refresh, everything is just ok. If you are willing to invest a bit more cash, you can get a much better tracker but I have to say that size does matter and it is true that this one is as small and light as it gets, so if you have a small pet, the fancier ones may not be a better choice.
